How we figure it

  • Doc stamp tax: $0.70 per $100 (or part of $100) of the sale price on the deed, per Florida Statutes 201.02. Applies in Marion County.
  • Title insurance: based on Florida's promulgated owner's rate (Rule 69O-186.003): $5.75 per $1,000 up to $100,000, $5.00 per $1,000 from $100,000 to $1 million, $2.50 per $1,000 above that; $100 minimum. Settlement, search, and endorsement fees are extra.
  • Commission: enter what you expect. It's always negotiable.
